The much-awaited duet finally happened on ASAP today when Jovit Baldovino, first Pilipinas Got Talent winner sang Faithfully side by side Journey's frontman, Arnel Pineda. Boy, it was really awesome to see Filipinos show that we have so much talent to be proud of.

Movie Marathon Nights
There's a great new way for movie lovers to make each night an enjoyable movie marathon night because those movies on demand can now be seen on Foxtel's World Movies Channel. Skip through the hassles and the expensive habit of buying those movies on DVD because you can watch them on your favorite Movie channel anyway.
This is such great news for movie lovers like me who can't last a day without seeing a film on TV. I can no longer remember how many movies I have seen in my entire life and some of them, I can no longer remember but one thing remains the same, my love for movies. Since good news are meant to be shared, I am sharing this great opportunity to make your nights entertaining with the films on World Movies Channel. You'll surely going to thank me for this.

Facebook ruined my night
Got home early tonight but instead of having been able to accomplish the things that I originally intended to do, I got tempted to check my Facebook account again then got hooked and lasted three hours doing nothing but posting silly comments and shout outs and that is so uncharacteristic of me because I rarely log on to Facebook.
Instead of doing new posts, I wasted three hours of my time browsing pictures and posts of old friends but mostly of friends whom I spent the whole day at work with. Now, isn't that silly? I swear, I will never get hook on Facebook so before I do, this has got to stop! I just logged out.

Weekend Flick: The A-Team
My Dad has been wanting to watch the A-team since last week when we were in Manila but due to time constraints, we weren't able to squeeze it into our schedule. As his sole request for Father's day today, we watched the A-team at the VIP Cinema of Gaisano Mall. The A-team is not new to us especially that it used to be a popular T.V. show back in the 80's but I can't exactly remember the characters in the show though. I am glad that this year, we have seen re-hush of these movies from the past like Karate Kid and the A-Team.
Overall, the movie was entertaining and witty. It's a treat for those who like watching action-packed flicks rather than listening to conversations. The A-team is not your usual movie heroes because they are fugitives who were victims of the system that they belong to. In that premise, I can very well relate to the A-team. The system really sucks but because we are bound, so we don't have a choice. Dad was happy with the movie and we are happy too that he is.

A Nurse's Tale
I caught up with some old friends this weekend. Most of them were old friends from the office who resigned from their jobs to get a bachelor's degree in Nursing and become a nurse so that they can work abroad. Unfortunately, most of them end up jobless up to this day because they need to earn more volunteer hours before they could apply for a nursing job abroad. One of them said that taking up a Nursing course seemed to be a bad move considering the amount of money they had spent on their studies and volunteer work when they could have just enrolled in a good cna training program and become a certified nursing assistant abroad. Now this proved to be a valuable lesson for those who are planning to work abroad. I have particularly advised my cousin who is planning to work in the United States that it would be cheaper and wiser if he take CNA jobs because there is a high demand for it right now and that the only thing he needs to do is to get certified.

The Wind chimes in Ayala Triangle Gardens
They are simply wonderful. I don't know how many of them were hanging right in the middle of the path leading to the Ayala Triangle Gardens but they surely never fails to catch people's attention whenever they see them. Both kids and adults alike are fascinated by these colorful wind chimes and the lovely sound they make when blown by the wind. The little kid in the photo was so amused by the colorful chimes that she wanted to touch them but even tall adults cannot do that so every one must only be content with having their photos taken with the chimes above them. Take a closer look!

Provincial Capitol of Sarangani
The start of this month proved to be a mad ride for me. To start the month, I together with some co-workers traveled to General Santos City on the 2nd day of June to participate in our company's National Sportsfest. After more than two hours of land trip, we reached General Santos and was greeted by the scorching and torturous heat of the Gensan sun. We took our breakfast and shortly after, we are on the road again to do our practice at the Alabel Capitol Gym. It was an added torture that there was power outage just when we began sweating it out for the practice.
It was surprising to see Sarangani's beautiful Provincial capitol because honestly, we were not expecting to see such structure in the middle of a rural setting. It felt like we were in some place in Europe with both the beautiful architectural structure and the landscapes. When we arrived on the first day, we vowed to have our pictures taken but doing that on the day of the opening was just impossible. So when time for cleaning up the venue came, we took time to stroll around the place and finally take a souvenir photo.
And like its Provincial Capitol, Sarangani is a host to a hundred more beautiful reasons why one must visit this place. I would have wanted to visit the beaches in Gumasa which is dubbed to be like that of Boracay twenty years ago but just didn't have the energy to do that anymore. I feel blessed that I live in Davao City and that I could have the luxury of going there since it is only a few hours drive from here. One more thing, Sarangani is where Manny Pacquiao ran for a seat in congress and fortunately won in the recent elections.

Road accidents:get yourself protected
Being on the road poses several hazards to both passengers and drivers. However, no matter how careful we try to be, sometimes accidents just do happen. When it does, it is better that we know something about injury law. A person who acquired injury due to other people's negligence or mistake needs legal representation. In Colorado for example, a denver accident lawyer is available for people who have been injured due to accident. It's unfortunate to be suffering from injury because of other people's wrong doing and it is only right that the injured get justice that's due them.

Outdoor furniture for cozy days
Some days are just perfect for staying outside and lounging in one's patio. I long for those days to come quickly as I want to get rid of the scorching summer heat. If it's any consolation, I am glad that summer here is about to be over. Outdoor furniture can really be a great piece to beautify one's garden or patio. I wish that I'd be able to buy a beautiful house with a lovely patio in it so I can just stay there whenever I want to.
