Giving the feet some love

Posted by The Queen Bee at Monday, March 29, 2010 0 comments

Probably, the most battered part of our body is our feet. Imagine all the beating it gets out of walking endlessly day in and day out. The most incredible fact about our feet is how it's able to carry our weight regardless of how heavy we get. Poor feet!

So I guess it is but only fitting for our pair of hardworking feet to get some good loving during the weekend. Whenever I get free time during Saturdays, I see to it that I take some time to pamper my feet through my favorite Caronia foot products. I start with soaking my feet with their Green Tea foot soak in warm water for about fifteen minutes to soften them and scrubbing them with Caronia Green Tea foot scrub right after to remove dead skin from the soles. The feeling you get after is incomparable. I love the feeling of lightness and relief that I get after having my feet pampered.

I can't wait until my next feet pampering session and it's a good thing that there's going to be a very long weekend.

Photohunt #37: Fresh

Posted by The Queen Bee at Saturday, March 27, 2010 5 comments

For this week's theme of Fresh, I have chosen something that I have plenty of in my photo stocks. This bunch of fresh flowers are just one of the pretty bouquets we prepare for mom during weekends as we go to visit her grave. We buy bundles of flowers from the market because they are cheaper compared to pre-arranged flower baskets and bouquets that are sold in flower shops.

It's nice to be able to post for Photo Hunt again and I wish I get to do this every week from now on.

Pilipinas Got Talent

Posted by The Queen Bee at Sunday, March 07, 2010 3 comments
I just thought of posting this video of Jovit Baldovino, one of the many hopefuls in Pilipinas Got Talent. Needless to say, the boy really has talent and what's more amazing about him is his humility. This video has reached more than a million hits in you tube and that alone is a testament of how people really took notice of his incredible talent.

I actually think he sings better than Charice. I really hope Jovit Baldovino makes it big and I hope that he remains humble.

Photo Hunt#36: Foreign

Posted by The Queen Bee at Saturday, March 06, 2010 2 comments

There is an apparent invasion of Korean culture here in the Philippines. Over the past couple of years, a lot of Korean nationals have settled in our country. Most of them are also doing their businesses here, from grocery stores to beauty salons which even the young set of Filipinos patronize.

The photos above are only some of the Korean dishes that we tried during one of our staff meetings that was held at a nearby Korean restaurant. Personally, I am choosy and reluctant when it comes to trying out foreign delicacies other than the ones that we are accustomed to while growing up like that of Italian foods or Spanish dishes which are basically almost identical to Filipino cuisine. I can say that I have a predominantly native palate.

This is my entry for this week's fun meme, Photo Hunt.
